Thorsten Claus, T-Venture

Thorsten is a telco2.0 enthusiast, angel investor and adviser. As a Senior Investment Manager with T-Venture he helps to create and grow businesses for cloud services, telecom enablers and transport network. T-Venture is the corporate venture capital group of Deutsche Telekom Group and T-Mobile. T-Venture focuses on information and communication technology solutions (ICT) for businesses and consumers. Their investments range from seed stage to pre-M&A activities and help companies to grow and access global markets.
Thorsten worked as a Managing Consultant at Deutsche Telekom Group's technology and management consultancy and helped his international telecom and Internet clients to engineer product and service innovations and to create and execute strategies for a flat and free world. He has over fifteen years of telecom and information technology industry experience and was previously a senior network architect for T-Systems North America, responsible for creating blueprints and evaluating emerging technologies and architectures for telecom-grade billing systems, next generation operation support systems, fixed-mobile converged carrier infrastructures, and IPTV networks.
Jason Krikorian, DCM

Jason Krikorian serves as a General Partner at DCM, one of Silicon Valley’s leading technology venture investment firms. Prior to joining DCM, Jason co-founded Sling Media, the pioneering digital media and consumer device company. Among its many accolades, Sling Media received an Emmy Award for the Slingbox, the device that first introduced the world to the concept of “placeshifting”. Sling Media was acquired by EchoStar in October 2007.
As Co-Founder of Sling Media, Jason headed many functions across the organization. Jason acted as EVP of Business Development, EVP of Marketing, and CFO at various points in the evolution of Sling Media. Among other things, Jason led the establishment of distribution and development partnerships with global television, broadband and mobile operators. The breadth of his experience has greatly enhanced capacity to guide new growth companies across many areas of their businesses.
Prior to co-founding Sling Media, Jason acted as Partner in id8 Group Holdings, Inc., advising companies on product and business strategy. Jason joined id8 Group after spending several years in management consulting with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). While at BCG, Jason advised Fortune 500 clients in the retail, automotive, and utilities sectors. And Prior to BCG, Jason worked in corporate securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he assisted in the execution of numerous initial public offerings, acquisitions, and private placements.
